Our approach to identifying a suitable talent is comprehensive and takes on board a clear understanding of the organizational and role contexts. This includes skills and competencies, experience, matching the extrapolated career graphs for the role and the candidate, and the overall enthusiasm on either side. We have access to a vast database and linkages to a wide network through our leadership.
We apply our understanding of the market to benchmark the role to refine the job descriptions and reward package in consultation with the leadership on the client’s side. This helps the organization to find the right fit and to also provide the candidate with a rewarding career. We measure our success by keeping track of how long it takes for our placement to get the first promotion. We aim to see this happening within 1 to 3 years for senior level placements.
Organizations generally differ in their approach to hiring and the number of CVs they wish to screen, but we typically offer 2 to 3 choices for senior level positions. Our view is that if we have understood the organizational strategy and the role well, it is likely that we will come up with the right fit among 2 or 3. In any case, we do not outsource the screening work to the client HR, by dumping tens of CVs obtained from a database search using key words.
Before offering the selected CVs, our associates carry out multiple telephonic interviews to obtain a comprehensive assessment of the candidate, in the context of the given role. The relevant notes from these interviews are also passed on to the client organization for a better assessment of the candidate.
Meetings between the client and the candidates are coordinated at every stage to facilitate the interaction. We maintain regular communication with both parties after the interview for feedback.
Following the interview process, and based on the outcome of the interaction, we conduct first level reference checks as necessary. Typically, the second level reference checks are done by the client, in line with their organizational policies. Psychometric tests can be set up either directly or through us as preferred.
Often, there are some gaps to be bridged between the candidate and the organization regarding the reward package. We facilitate the negotiating process from end to end till an offer letter has been accepted. After the candidate joins, we continue to support the on-boarding process to ensure a smooth transition.
